Warming But Still Cold
In keeping with the winter theme, although it is beginning to warm up, another photograph of a very cold morning. Winter can be such a beautiful time of the year.
There was one morning several years ago when the strangest thing happened — Snow Rollers. This happens when there are winds of about 40 mph and the temperature just right. We had a few in our yard but found it very difficult to photograph. All white with weak shadows. Well, I had a couple of decent pictures but I have no idea where to look for them. Probably lost. A lake that is very close to the house was frozen over and covered with snow and this produced a lot of these weird snow rollers.
